Standing Seam Metal Roofing

The premium tier of our metal lineup: vertical panels with raised, interlocking seams and no exposed fasteners. For most homes it is the last roof you will ever buy, installed by a crew that has built metal across the Mahoning Valley since 2013.

Why homeowners choose standing seam

Standing seam is the roof people picture when they picture a great metal roof. Panels run from ridge to eave in one continuous piece. The seams lock together and stand up off the surface, so water has no fastener holes to find. Every clip and screw is hidden underneath the panel.

That hidden-fastener design is the whole point. Exposed screws rely on rubber washers that age in the sun and loosen with freeze and thaw. A standing seam roof has none of those wear points on its surface. It sheds snow, shrugs off wind, and keeps its lines for decades.

We form our panels to fit your roof, then hand-detail the ridges, valleys, and penetrations. On a roof like this the details make or break it, and the details are our favorite part of the job.

Hidden fasteners

Nothing penetrates the panel surface, so there are no washers to age and no screw heads to loosen.

Panels cut to length

Each panel is cut for your roof, ridge to eave, with no horizontal laps on standard slopes.

Built for our winters

Snow slides instead of piling, and the locked seams resist wind-driven rain and ice.

Frequently asked questions

What keeps a standing seam roof watertight if there are no exposed screws?

The panels lock into each other at raised seams, and hidden clips hold them to the deck. Water never reaches a fastener because every fastener sits under the panel.

What is oil canning, and should I worry about it?

Oil canning is a slight waviness you can sometimes see on flat metal in certain light. It's cosmetic, not a defect. We reduce it with proper panel width, striations, and careful installation.

Will the color fade?

Factory-baked finishes on quality panels carry fade and chalk warranties up to 40 years. Colors soften very slowly and evenly, not in patches.

Does snow slide off a standing seam roof all at once?

It can on steep slopes, which is actually a benefit for the roof. Where sliding snow could land on a walkway or porch, we install snow guards to release it gradually.
